Rural Barn Alteration

A particularly enjoyable project due to a fantastic client. Aquila Architecture undertook design services following a client brief requiring an extension to an existing barn conversion in a breathtaking rural area. The design provided a net increase of 28% to existing habitable areas and capitalised on the local landscape by incorporating large areas of glazing in key areas while retaining privacy and thermal efficiency in other parts of the design.
